Newsletter (3) from Cohesion label (30th April 2004)
Dear All,
OK, the bad news first. The new album will not be out now until the autumn. Before we get the usual groans, please don't think this is an arbitrary decision: due to contractual delays on sample clearances it would now be impossible to release before June and our European distributors tell us that everyone is on holiday during July and August so we should hold back release until September. This does mean we have a good length of time to promote the album to radio and press to spark some interest so the shops will stock it. Hopefully this will make it easier for everyone to find (and buy) it when it finally hits the shelves.
Now some good news: we have finally managed to sort out the Russian DVD material and the official version of this footage will be available from late June. The tracklisting is:
Intro (I'll Give You)
Shelter From The Storm
Nothing Ever Happens
Castles Burning
Martha's Madman
Don't Kill It Carol
Angels At My Gate
Father Of Day, Father Of Night
Demolition Man
She Was/Blinded By The Light
Redemption Song (No Kwazulu)
Davy's On The Road Again
The Mighty Quinn
Running time approx 97 mins, in NTSC all regions format.
The eagle-eyed among you will notice that SOS does NOT appear on this official release. The touring band in November 2000 was: Manfred, Mick, Steve, Noel and Richard (Marcangelo).
We are still working with the IFPI to stop the sale of the illegal Russian release so if this is still available on any sites you are visiting, please let us know.
The UK dates with Uriah Heep are now up on the tour pages - and in case no-one saw my recent post to the message board, Manfred will be doing one number with Uriah Heep at the London gig. The Uriah Heep set is also being filmed for a dvd release some time next year.
More good news is that a clever chap, Nick Davies, has created a screensaver using the Earth Band logo. This will be available as a free download very shortly.
News of the album will follow shortly!
Best wishes
Helen and Steve
