Two of the three bonus tracks are versions that were previously unavailable on CDPlains Music was the album Manfred Mann had always wanted to make without his Earth Band in tow. Following the release of the Earth Band album 'Masque' Manfred de-camped to South Africa for a sabbatical. Influenced by literature on the American Indian and by the expanse of the African wilderness Manfred set about recording the work that was to become 'Plains Music. Utilizing a singer who was later to join the re-formed Earth Band's ranks, Noel McKella he recorded an album that stands on a par with albums by some of the other World Music masters such as Peter Gabriel and Osibisa. 'Plains Music' today remains one of Manfred's favorite albums.
Watch. [Top]
The album contains all seven original album tracks plus four bonus tracks including the alternate single versions of 'Mighty Quinn', Davy's On The Road Again' and beautiful melodic '. Two of the four bonus tracks are versions that were previously unavailable on CD.Watch was Manfred Mann's Earth Band's Seventh LP. Released in 1978 it was the second album to feature Chris Thompson on vocals. 'Watch' was the album that was meant to follow up the immensely successful 'Roaring Silence'. An almost impossible task bearing in mind the world-wide success of 'The Roaring Silence' 'Watch' amazingly managed to achieve the perfect follow up but it also exceeded the sales of the previous album in many territories. 'Watch' became a blockbuster album in Europe album eventually achieving the status of the best selling album ever for the band! Remastered with four bonus tracks and all of the original artwork included this really is an album to listen to .. and you guessed it, to watch.
The Roaring Silence. [Top]
The album contains all seven original album tracks plus two bonus tracks including the US only version of 'Spirits In The Night' sung by Chris Thompson. Both bonus tracks are versions were previously unavailable on CD.The Roaring Silence was Manfred Mann's Earth Band's Seventh LP. Released in 1976 it was the first to feature Chris Thompson on vocals. The album was the record that changed the history and fortunes of Manfred and his Earth Band when it hit the number one spot in the US and number 6 in the UK. The album and it's well known Bruce Springsteen penned single 'Blinded By The Light' stayed in the charts for weeks on end. 37 to be precise for the album in the US! 'The Roaring Silence' along with the hit single 'Blinded By The Night' are pinnacles in the career of the Earth Band. Interestingly Manfred Mann was not only one of the first people to record a Bruce Springsteen song, he gave Springsteen his first number one with the success of 'Blinded By The Light' This remastered version also includes another of Springsteens songs in 'Spirits In The Night'.
The Good Earth. [Top]
The album contains all seven original album tracks plus three bonus tracks. The bonus tracks are versions previously unavailable on CD.The Good Earth was Manfred Mann's Earth Band's fifth LP. Released in 1974 it was an unusual affair in both content and packaging. The album and it's packaging were based around a lovely hilltop in Wales that was to be preserved in it's natural state by the Earth Band and it's fans. A novel idea that was clearly years ahead of it's time the album is testimony to the success of the project. The hillside is still there and still in it's natural state. 'The Good Earth' was one of the most under-rated of the Earth Band albums and today stands as a favorite amongst fans. Packaged with the original land contract included in the artwork and remastered to the highest quality it's true sound perspective can be appreciated for the first time.
Solar Fire. [Top]

The album had been based around idea's from Gustav Holst's 'The Planets Suite' after the success of the single 'Joybringer'. 'Joybringer' has been included on this CD version, becoming the first time it has been officially added to the 'Solar Fire' recordings. 'Solar Fire' was definitely one of the more important and influential albums from the early seventies, it's success signifying a landmark point for Manfred and his Earth Band.
Messin'. [Top]
The album contains all seven original album tracks plus two bonus tracks including the track 'Pretty Good' from the original 1973 US release. both bonus tracks have been previously unavailable on CD.Messin' was Manfred Mann's Earth Band's third LP. Released in 1973 it contained the controversial track 'Black And Blue' which was dropped for the US release. In place of the omitted track the Americans included a track written by John Prine entitled 'Pretty Good' on their version of 'Messin'', which was itself re-titled as 'Get Your Rocks Off'.
Messin' was a ground breaking album for Manfred and his Earth Band with the title track expounding the horrors of an increasingly polluted. The album, in retrospect was quite some years ahead of it's time in both recording technique and song content. Now it has been remastered to the highest standard and now included 2 tracks previously unavailable on CD.
